PLANET AWARENESS

We believe in teaching younger generations about the current state of our planet. We want to lead a profound and tangible discussion about the immediate measures needed to face our current environmental challenges. We are witnessing an unprecedented array of climate catastrophes, primarily caused by the overuse of fossil fuels, apparently affecting the melting of ice caps in both poles. The expansion of agriculture has caused deforestation and fertilizers have been proven to create greenhouse gases which increase the Earth’s average global temperature.
Water scarcity, polluted public water across all continents, and plastic pollution in our oceans threaten the survival of species and our environment as a whole. Both on land and in the sea, we are unwilling or unable to create a better system of waste management. We also lack a worldwide recycling system that is able to reduce, reuse, and recycle excess materials.
We need to inform and teach younger generations about clean energy production and safety standards that conserve biodiversity, climate, and the world’s cohabitating species.
Above all, we must prioritize the challenges we and our children will face regarding human rights, bodily respect and autonomy, and intellectual self-care: obesity, malnutrition, and hunger can be witnessed in ever continent. In addition, the yearly rate of extinction of species indicates a failure to conserve biodiversity.
The MFTP Learning Center is an opportunity to build a music school that teaches the arts, sciences, and humanities within a multifold program to achieve a well-rounded awareness of the world. We believe that the Center’s location can serve as excellent testing grounds for a program that could be expanded to other areas around the world.
