ALL-AROUND EDUCATION

ALL-AROUND EDUCATION

Music performance is MFTP’s main objective; however, we have added other disciplines to our program to reach our broader educational goals. Our desire to create unity and collaboration between students, refine their individual worldviews, and prepare them for higher education pushes us to offer a more ambitious and comprehensive education.
Our humanities classes will be composed of courses in world history, psychology, philosophy, and textual comprehension. Science will also be taught in order to help students develop better analytical skills. Introductions to mathematics, logic, and set theory will provide them with tools to master music both as a language and system of rational rules.
Our fundamental teaching approach from within music is our way of understanding the world as a whole. MFTP is interested in disentangling the purported opposition between rational and irrational worldviews as separate and irreconcilable cosmological perspectives. We want to integrate them through music, which emerges as the performing art that constantly blends these two facets together.
Lastly, our program will include classes on the origin of law in society and conferences on the current environmental state of the planet, touching upon environmental issues, species protection, balancing production and conservation, and the social impacts of artistic education, performance, and practice to develop creativity, critique, and collaboration.
