We believe in music performance being taught as the main objective, yet we want to add other teachings that enhance our educational project. We would like to produce a good ensemble of young musicians, but our goals are also aimed to offer a varied, multifaceted guidance. We want to help students building their individual musical capabilities, and ameliorate their interaction with their peers. Moreover, this project contains a definite complementary instruction that will enhance their self awareness, refine their individual vision of the world, and boost their preparation to further education.
The Humanities will be presented at introductory courses on world history, psychology, philosophy, and text comprehension. Sciences will be part of the schedule in order to help them develop their analytical skills. An introduction to mathematics, logic, and set theory will give them good tools for mastering music as both a language and a system comprised of rational rules. The aforementioned teaching approach is our proposed tool for understanding the world as a whole. We are interested in unlocking the purported opposition between rational and irrational as two separate and irreconcilable cosmological visions, integrating them in music -the performing art that needs to merge and blend both facets of reality at all times.
The final classes in our program will include an introduction to the inception of law in society, as well as conferences about the current state of the planet: environmental issues, the protection of species, the needed balance between production and preservation, and the social impact on imparting artistic education, performance, and practice as a path to develop creativity, critique and collaborative effort.
